Lamb Champs is open to all family farmers in South Africa who produce lamb meat. Farmers must register in advance to compete.

Is there an entry fee for farmers?
There is no entry fee for farmers; they must simply produce their lamb carcass to enter. In return, they receive free VIP tickets for themselves and their family.
Can the public attend Lamb Champs?
Absolutely! Lamb Champs is open to the public. Tickets can be purchased online or at the event entrance.
Do children need tickets for Lamb Champs?
Children under 2 years old can attend Lamb Champs for free. Children aged 2 to 12 years need to purchase a children’s ticket, while those over 12 years must buy an adult ticket.
What activities are available for attendees?
Attendees can enjoy lamb tastings, farmer meet-and-greets, Rugby on the big screen and loads of live music entertainment. There are also play areas for the kids.
Where can I buy Lamb Champs branded meat?
Lamb Champs branded lamb meat is available at selected Pick n Pay stores across South Africa. The product will be rolled out to more stores soon.
What time does the event start and end?
The event typically starts at 10:00 AM and concludes around 8:00 PM. Exact times will be provided closer to the event date.
Is there parking available at the venue?
Yes, there is ample parking available at the event venue. Parking attendants will be on-site to assist.
Can I bring my own food and drinks?
We encourage attendees to enjoy the food available at the event. Food and Alcoholic beverages are not allowed to be brought in from outside. Only umbrellas and camping chairs are allowed.
How are the winners chosen?
Winners are chosen by a panel of expert judges based on criteria such as taste, texture, and presentation of the lamb or goat meat.
Is the event accessible for people with disabilities?
Yes, the event venue is fully accessible, with facilities to accommodate people with disabilities.
Can I bring my pet?
Unfortunately, pets are not allowed at Lamb Champs, with the exception of service animals.
What happens if it rains?
Lamb Champs is an all-weather event. In case of rain, there will be covered areas where activities will continue.
